MY GREAT ARMY

No study of the "End Time Ministry" would be complete without mentioning the vision given to the Prophet Joel about the people whom God chooses for His "Quick Work" at the consumation of the age in which we live.

A quick look at the second chapter of Joel will give us a fair idea of what God has in mind for the people whom He chooses for his ARMY OF OVERCOMERS, with whom He will accomplish the crushing of "Babylon"-- the Socio-Religious system which holds us captive at this point in time.

We are now living in the time of the "Little Horn"-- the extension of the fourth Gentile Kingdom-- Rome. It (the Socio-Religious system), exercises all the power of it's predecessor, but has another outstanding characteristic-- "a big, loud mouth". It has taken away the "daily (sacrifice)"-- the Civil Government of Medeival Europe, and all following governments, and has, in most cases, become a Religious "Head of State"-- world-wide.

It speaks with a great deal of authority. Kings of the earth (heads of governments) all pay heed when this "mouth" speaks. All super-powers of the earth have paid State Visits to the seat of the "Little Horn", and received less or more of a blessing. Most, if not all, of the very large corporations pay homage at the feet of this "little loud mouth". Part of the "stock in trade" is the "souls
of men".

This "system" WILL BE CRUSHED by the POWER OF GOD working through a "great people, and a strong" whom God calls "MY GREAT ARMY".

Joel 2:1 BLOW YE THE TRUMPET IN ZION, AND SOUND AN ALARM IN MY HOLY MOUNTAIN: (THESE ARE TRUMPET CALLS TO MUSTER OUT AN ARMY FOR BATTLE. SEE NUMBERS 10) let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand;

Joel 2:2 -- A GREAT PEOPLE AND A STRONG; Joel 2:3 A FIRE DEVOURETH BEFORE THEM; AND BEHIND THEM A FLAME BURNETH: the land [is] as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, AND NOTHING SHALL ESCAPE THEM.

Joel 2:5 -- AS A STRONG PEOPLE SET IN BATTLE ARRAY.

Joel 2:7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and THEY SHALL NOT BREAK THEIR RANKS: Joel 2:8 NEITHER SHALL ONE THRUST ANOTHER; they shall walk every one in his path: and [when] they fall upon
the sword, they shall not be wounded.

Joel 2:10 THE EARTH SHALL QUAKE BEFORE THEM; THE HEAVENS SHALL TREMBLE: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: Joel 2:11 AND THE LORD SHALL UTTER HIS VOICE BEFORE HIS ARMY: FOR HIS CAMP [IS] VERY GREAT:
for [he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD [is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer- worm, (by) MY GREAT ARMY WHICH I SENT AMONG YOU.

Joel 3:16 THE LORD ALSO SHALL ROAR OUT OF ZION, (HIS VOICE IS STRONGER THAN THAT OF THE LITTLE HORN) and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH SHALL SHAKE: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

I want to be in that "ARMY"
