GOD'S THREE APOINTMENTS WITH MAN

THREE APPOINTMENTS
I sometimes get letters in the mail from hearing aid deal-
ers, telling me that they have made an appointment for me to see
some highly trained technician (salesman). If I should choose to
go see the person, provision is already made for me to do it, BUT
NO ONE IS GOING TO MAKE ME GO. It is a matter of choice.
This is exactly what Jesus has done for each one of us. He
has made an appointment for us to meet with Him. He has written,
and told us about it. He wants to meet us at the foot of Cal-
vary. I Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to
wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time
of need.
This appointment we can honor or dishonor, as we wish. It
is NOT MANDATORY. No one is going to force us to meet with Jesus
at Calvary. Jesus will still love us.
But such is NOT THE CASE in the two other appointments which
God has made for each of us. We do NOT HAVE A CHOICE about them.
WE WILL BE THERE when the appointed time comes.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
but after this the judgment:
At the appointment of DEATH, it will make all the difference
in the world whether we kept the first appointment or not. It
would be terrible to face death without having made peace with
God through Jesus. But multitudes are doing it every day, be-
cause they fail to heed the invitation of Mercy.
The next appointment is JUDGMENT. We cannot escape that
either, and we will be in the same condition as we were at the
time of death.
There is no second chance. There is no limbo. There is no
such a thing as purgatory.
Don't delay any longer. Make everything right with God
today. Call on the Name of Jesus today.
Hebrews 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, TO DAY if ye
will hear his voice,
II Corinthians 6:2 --behold, NOW [is] the accepted time;
behold, NOW [is] the day of salvation.)
Call on Jesus for Mercy NOW!!
