ISAIAH 55
1. THE CALL OF THE GENTILES—AND GENTILIZED ISRAEL
2. THE SURE MERCIES OF DAVID.
3. THE GATHERING OF THE PEOPLE.
4. THE NEW PLACE. (THE CHURCH)
This chapter of Isaiah is, IN MY OPINION, a pre-written history of the Gospel of Jesus Christ being made available to the WHOLE WORLD, after having been presented to the Sons of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob.
Ø Jesus told the Disciples in Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Isa 55:1 Ho, EVERY ONE THAT THIRSTETH, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Ø Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Ø Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by (grace ye are saved;)
Ø Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ø Eph 2:7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Ø Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Isa 55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Ø Jer 31:12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
Ø Jer 31:13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
Ø Jer 31:14 And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an EVERLASTING COVENANT WITH YOU, EVEN THE SURE MERCIES OF DAVID. (The same Covenant as was given to the children of Jacob.)
Ø Psa 89:20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: (THIS IS SPEAKING OF JESUS, OUR SAVIOUR AND KING)
Ø Psa 89:21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
Ø Psa 89:22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Ø Psa 89:23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
Ø Psa 89:24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
Ø Psa 89:25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Ø Psa 89:26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Ø Psa 89:27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
Ø Psa 89:28 My mercy will I keep for him forevermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
Ø Psa 89:29 His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
Ø 2Ch 6:42 O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.
Ø Act 13:30 But God raised him from the dead:
Ø Act 13:31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
Ø Act 13:32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
Ø Act 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
Ø Act 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I WILL GIVE YOU THE SURE MERCIES OF DAVID.
Isa 55:4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
Ø Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be (TAKE-Judges 15:2) my salvation unto the end of the earth.
Isa 55:5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
Ø Act 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Ø Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Ø Act 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
Ø Act 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, THEN HATH GOD ALSO TO THE GENTILES GRANTED REPENTANCE UNTO LIFE.
Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous (-Hebrew, "man of iniquity";(true of all men.) man his thoughts: and let him RETURN unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Ø Deu 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
Ø Deu 4:27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
Ø Deu 4:28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
Ø Deu 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Ø Deu 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
Ø Deu 4:31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore unto them.
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Ø Exo 34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Ø Exo 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Ø Psa 89:2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
Ø Psa 89:3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
Ø Psa 89:4 Thy seed (Jesus) will I establish forever, and build up thy throne to all generations.
Isa 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Ø Isa 61:11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
ISA 55:11 SO SHALL MY WORD BE THAT GOETH FORTH OUT OF MY MOUTH: IT SHALL NOT RETURN UNTO ME VOID, BUT IT SHALL ACCOMPLISH THAT WHICH I PLEASE, AND IT SHALL PROSPER IN THE THING WHERETO I SENT IT.
Ø Joh 1:14 And the WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Ø Isa 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD SHALL RETURN, and COME TO ZION (Overcomers) with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Ø “Unto HIM shall the gathering of the people be.” Gen 49:10
Ø 1Ch 17:9 Also I will ordain a place (THE CHURCH) for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
Ø Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Ø Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and TO THE SPIRITS OF JUST MEN MADE PERFECT,
Ø Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Isa 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Ø Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Ø Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Ø Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice's den.
Ø Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Ø Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Ø Isa 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the SECOND TIME TO RECOVER THE REMNANT OF HIS PEOPLE, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Ø Isa 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
The Gospel makes a tremendous change wherever it is heard and is obeyed.
At the time of Pentecost, the SCEPTER WAS DEPARTING FROM JUDAH. Shiloh had come, and Jesus had decreed desolation to the Nation that was stubbornly rejecting His offer of Salvation.
We see the same thing happening today, but the people and the situation is different. Some of the Old Line Churches have refused to see (Look at) what God is doing in the earth in our day, and the Glory they had in former years is fading away, leaving them “high and dry” (desolate).
God is still working on a pre-scheduled timetable, and He WILL perform what He has said He would do. His work will be completed on schedule.
You think He can’t do it? WATCH HIM!
