TILL WE COME

TILL WE COME

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Ephesians 4:14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

The Holy Ghost, through Paul, is trying to tell us something here. First off, let's direct our attention to coming "to the unity of the faith, and the knowledge (epignosis-- full, complete knowledge) of the Son of God." Over fifty years ago, in the beginning of the Latter Rain movement, we were admonished to endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit until we came to the unity of the faith. That admonition is still valid today. But many people have been asking, "How long is it going to take for us to get to the "unity of the faith?" It will take the same length of time as it takes us to come to the unity of the (Full) knowledge of the Son of God. They go together.

But there is something else here that has mostly eluded our attention. The third part of the equation is "unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." Look with me. The Holy Ghost was not referring to our ability to do these things in ourselves. We could never accomplish such a task. Rather, the term, "stature of the fulness" is talking about the element of TIME in God's program and schedule. Full age.

GOD IS MAKING A MAN - HIS MAN. THE MAN IS NOT FINISHED YET. IT IS TO BE THE PERFECTED BODY OF CHRIST - THE MAN OF GOD - THE COUNTERPART OF WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS THE "MAN OF SIN" - THE KOSMOS, OR WORLD SYSTEM.

Neither "Man" has "come to a head" yet, but they are developing rapidly. NEITHER ONE IS A SINGLE PERSON! One is an organization - the other is an organism.

There will come a day when these two "men" will each have reached their maturity, and a SPIRITUAL battle will be pitched, for they can not co-exist on earth. One will be crushed, and eliminated. The other will go on and fill the whole earth. Do you know which one it will be?

An "aside" here: If you are still looking for a personal Antichrist, forget it - the whole nine yards - including the seven year covenant that will be broken. Antichrist is the KOSMOS, MAN OF SIN, THE WORLD ORDER, DESTINED TO BE SMASHED BY THE MAN OF GOD - THE BODY OF CHRIST.

KOSMOS IS RIGHT WITH US TODAY - HAS BEEN FOR CENTURIES -GROWING ALONG SIDE OF THE ECCLESIA. KOSMOS WILL BE REVEALED FOR WHAT IT IS, AND WILL BE DESTROYED BY THE BRIGHTNESS --.

But there is more!
Next verse tells us that we will no longer be tossed to and fro by every "wind" of doctrine. With this God-given maturity, there will also be given a complete understanding of His plan and purposes.

The Church has been bent first one way and then another by conflicting teachings and practices. To be free from them will be a pleasant relief. In the last several years there have been many "winds" that have blown.

First, a big-name Preacher would come out with what seemed like a good idea, such as "Discipleship", or "Chain of Command". The one that gave us a tussle several years ago, from Canada, was "Apostolic Authority." It was the Grandfather of Discipleship.

By the way, there is a good reason why Pearl and I do not rush to embrace some of these new ideas that are circulating in Charismatic circles today. We love the Charismatic people, but we are aware that they are repeating some of the same mistakes which were made by the early Pentecostal folks, and others that followed them. Most of the "new mistakes" are but revised versions of the old ones. We feel right at home with Charismatics.

A "pure language" WILL be given to the Church before the end. The watchmen WILL see eye to eye. The LORD will bring it about. He is the only one who can do it.

Proverbs 14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent [man] looketh well to his going.

Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.

Matthew 24:4 -- Take heed that no man deceive you.
