TWO HUNDRED MILLION

TWO HUNDRED MILLION SOLDIERS

Here are a few thoughts on the subject of the two hundred million man "army" that is attracting so much attention on the internet lately.
I have previously attempted to point out that this is NOT a MILITARY unit, which has been mustered by any nation. If any nation COULD produce such an army of men, it could not put a horse under each one of them. This is symbolic language.

I have also attempted to point out that this "army" is not commisioned to "destroy" anything but a false religion, which had its roots in the area of the Euphrates River.
The "soldiers" who make up this vast "army" are people who have been anointed of the Lord with the "EVERLASTING GOSPEL" (absolutely true-- no error in it). (We ain't got it yet) :-(
John the revelator was not the only one who caught a glimpse of this "army". Joel also saw them, and described them in a little different terms. Paul, the Apostle of the Church, must have seen much the same thing, but was not allowed to write very much about it.

Our biggest problem today is that we have been "programmed" by the former teachings of the church from medieval times. We have been programmed to expect defeat and doom rather than to expect that the world will be filled with the knowledge of the lord.

After all, God promised the World to Abraham for an inheritance. Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
The same phenomenon is written about in Ezek 47 where the "river" flowing from the right side of the Altar flows out in an ever-increasing volume until it reaches the dead sea, where it "heals" everything but a few marshy places. (This is the human race)
Eze 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

Here is how Joel describes the future onslaught of the Spirit of God.

Joe 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
Joe 2:3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
Joe 2:4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
Joe 2:5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
Joe 2:6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
Joe 2:7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
Joe 2:8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
Joe 2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
Joe 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
Joe 2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Jeremiah describes the event in different terms.
Jer 51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
Jer 51:14 The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillars; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
One of the famous commentators said that this "shout" is the "song of the vintage", the singing of the treaders of the winepress. It is a song of victory over the world (Kosmos).
Let's "tune in" to what the Lord is planning to do, instead of what we have been told that the devil is trying to do. He was defeated at Calvary, and his kingdom is in shambles
